I've been going here for almost 4 years, always had great service and great cuts, I brought other people in to have their hair cut here too. I had a meeting change and called 6 hours in advance to notify that I was not going to make it for and that I would reschedule. The receptionist was thrilled to notify me of a 50% cancellation fee. Bye bye Tsukasa, it was a nice run.
Always a great experience with Masaya E. who cuts my hair. Studious attention to detail with layers, careful angles and my bangs. I think he uses a dozen different scissors. Nice studio and friendly staff. Great hair-washing and very special, unusual and intense Japanese Head Spa scalp massage.
I have never written a review before but feel compelled to warn others. I got a haircut there two weeks ago, washed it a few times and it’s not hanging right so I called to ask if it could be fixed. They said that since I am outside of their 10 day window for complimentary fixes I would have to pay for a new haircut. I told them I wasn’t aware of this policy and had I known I would have called sooner but I wanted to give the cut time to breathe. They said it is my responsibility to have read about their policy for fixes on their website and were completely unwilling to be flexible (by 4 days!). I had initially been excited about this salon and am now extremely disappointed to not use them moving forward. But it’s not worth paying for a second haircut when the first one already wasn’t right.
Kyoko at Masa Kanai is incredibly gifted with how she colors and cuts hair. She is also extremely kind and focused on doing a great job for her clients. The salon is very clean and has a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Everyone I've interacted with at the front has been kind and welcoming.
Had an amazing Head Spa session with Hiroko today. She is so lovely and really skilled in this technique. I felt so at ease with her explanations and guidance. The staff were extremely welcoming and polite. Will definitely venture back in the future!
Best. Salon. Ever. Superior products, superior colorists and superior stylists. Every single person employed is amazing at what they do. The space is gorgeous, clean and serene.
I got a haircut with Elaine last night and it was incredible. She was attentive, precise, and most importantly kind. I would recommend her to anyone I speak to, the care she put in my hair was unparalleled.
My partner and I both see Masayo, and honestly we’re afraid to say how GREAT he is because we know he’ll be booked for months. Brilliant artist with a keen sense of proportion, perspective, hair care, and a very kind personality. Give them a call and tell them Kylie and Warren sent you.
